Gujjubhai Most Wanted is a comedy film where "Anil Charanjeett" can be seen as "Terrorist Faruqq" in a duo with "Alok Gadgekar" as "Terrorist Shahrukh" prepared for "Lashkar-e-Jihad." They make plans and always fail in the execution process. This duo starts arguing amongst themselves and does not let others speak. Some senior terrorists described their characters as "Jaheel aur Gawaar." The leader of the terrorist organization uses them as prey to get information about Indian Intelligence. The movie's plot revolves around confusion between terrorists and gujjubhai. Gujjubhai and his son Khagesh try a shortcut to earn money which gets them into trouble with terrorists and cops. The plan goes awry as the Indian military ambush them and suspects them of being terrorists. The duo ends up getting chained to the briefcase, which ends up being a bomb, and have to test their 'loyalty' to the terrorist before they reveal their plans. They end up discarding the bomb but end up getting trapped in a terrorist camp.
Some other scenes show both the terrorists with Gujjubhai and his son where Anil says some famous dialogues like, "Naam ek aur aadmi 2" and "Khamoshhh".
The audience loved the work and jugalbandi that goes on between the 2 terrorists and gujjubhai.

One half of the film is based in 1934 in a small village of Bihar, the other half of the film is based in 2008, when the city was attacked by terrorists. All the 14 characters of 1934 are reincarnated.
In 2008 Anil is seen sitting in a cafe where he cries as his friend is not picking up his call. He thinks that his friend is dead in the terrorist attacks. He cries for his friend’s death and says repeatedly that, “hum yaha kisiko nahi jaante , hamara yaha ek hi dost tha.”
In 1934 heis character appears with a song “Allah Maula” where he gets in a water pond and can be seen singing, dancing and praying to Allah.
